Hibiscus infusions have many names and for example in Egypt it is called carcade. Hibiscus contains Roselle plant’s blooms and it is actually a very old infusion. It is said that hibiscus was a popular drink that the pharaos of the ancient Egypt loved. Many know hibiscus from red coloured fruit and herbal teas that get their colour from it. Hibiscus is a tasty infusion both as cold and warm. Deep red drink has an earth-close flavour and its sourness becomes softer with sugar that sometimes is added quite a lot. Try both cold and warm!
